What is car insurance like?

Car Insurance може бути обов'язковим (встановлене законом), добровільним (за бажанням страхувальника) та включає декілька напрямків:

• third-party liability insurance for car owners. It is intended to compensate for damages caused to the health or property of others;
• повне КАСКО – страховий захист автомобіля від різних видів збитків, що здійснюється власником авто, яке страхується;
• insurance of the driver and car passengers against transport accidents.

The following types of car insurance are distinguished:

1. ОСЦПВ (MTPL Insurance) – обов'язковий вид insurance цивільної відповідальності, встановлений всім власникам авто. Страхує машину водій чи власник; застрахованою особою є водій, пасажири та треті особи; захист спрямований на третіх осіб, які постраждали у ДТП за участю застрахованого автомобіля. Договір діє в країні.
2. DCV (additional civil liability) – договір добровільного insurance цивільно-правової відповідальності власників авто. Поліс покриває збитки, які перевищують ліміт відповідальності за основною страховкою ОСЦПВ. Договір ДЦВ можна укласти лише додатково до полісу ОСЦПВ.
3. Green Card – insurance автомобіля для виїзду за кордон. Це "автоцивілка", яка діє за межами України, на території держав, які перебувають у системі «Green card».
4. Voluntary insurance against a transport accident. The insurance compensates for damages caused to the health of the driver and passengers of the insured car. Insurance takes place according to a flat-rate system (total insurance sum for everyone) or a seat system (each seat in the car corresponds to a separate amount of compensation).
5. КАСКО – добровільне insurance авто від викрадення, протиправних дій третіх осіб, пожежі, стихійного лиха, знищення, пошкодження внаслідок ДТП чи впливу сторонніх предметів.

CASCO insurance programs are:

• з різним набором опцій – від мінімальної (проста та дешева) до повної (з мmaximumним набором послуг);
• insurances operating on the territory of Ukraine and abroad;
• can be with or without franchise.

With CASCO insurance, installments are possible (payment of the policy in installments).

When and what car insurance to buy?

1. Every car owner must sign an OSCPV contract. The insurance must be renewed at least once a year, depending on the insurance period you have chosen.

3. CASCO, DCV, accident insurance, in most cases, are carried out at the request of the insured person.

How much does car insurance cost?

Однозначно відповісти на questions скільки коштує купити страховку на авто не можна. Але розрахувати cost insurance автомобіля в Україні за кожним видом insurance можна.

For OSCPV contracts a general tariff is set, but the cost of each policy is calculated separately and based on many factors (for more details, see the OSCPV section).

For this insurance, there are state benefits for various categories of citizens, and individual discounts from companies may also be applied (for example, with long-term insurance without losses).

Car insurance online: what and how to do it

Online auto insurance is available for OSCPV and DCV programs.

You can take out car insurance and purchase a policy on the website by filling out an electronic application form and paying for the order with a bank card.

Immediately after payment, the insurance contract will be sent to the specified e-mail.

The policy can also be obtained by mail in Kyiv and other settlements.
